Role Summary/Purpose: To provide Engineering Solutions for SAS projects as per customer specification / requirement and internal standards. To plan and execute basic / detailed design, obtain customer approval, deliver required engineering document for procurement, manufacturing and site erection & commissioning associated to concerned activity.
Essential Responsibilities: Functional
Responsible for Protection and Control Engineering of SAS projects.
Study of Specification / Technical inputs
Technical Design and Preparation of Engineering Drawings
Selection & Ordering of IEDs, Relays & Bought-on-Jobs for the project
Technical discussion with customer for obtaining approvals
Release of manufacturing instructions and Database configurations.
Co-ordinate with Testing team for Internal validation and FAT

Scope of work & time schedule
Participate with Team leader / PM to design time evaluation and deliverables issuance dates for concerned package and commit to such budget in man days and in time delivery

On Time delivery
Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality.
Give necessary input for Team lead / PM for managing execution plan.

Design
Prepare and or coordinate elaboration of document, calculation, Simulation, to validate technical options proposed to the customer
Define with Team lead regarding management Design review plan
Look for cost optimization in all design phases and mainly during basic design
Ensure technical consistency of design area and associated performance level
Get or give support to ensure compliance to technical "state of the art" and applicable standards & regulations
Check & Validate design documents – Internal and subcontractor deliverables
Prepare subcontracting files (Scope, Deliverables, Inputs, Schedule) & organize review meeting with subcontractors
Participate on request to factory inspection plan (FAT)
Qualifications/Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

- 2 to 3 years in B.E. / B.Tech (Electrical & Electronics) or (Electrical)

- 3 to 5 years in Diploma (Electrical & Electronics) or (Electrical)

To plan and execute basic & detailed design for all protection applications involving switchyard and generator circuits; Initiate technical discussion and obtain customer approval on Engineering documents; Deliver quality on-time documentation for procurement, manufacturing, testing, site erection and commissioning.
